01The pattern
Most operational automation reduces to the same shape: something happens (an event or a date), a decision is made, messages go out, and state changes somewhere. Building it ad hoc per task is how businesses end up with five fragile scripts nobody dares touch.
So the automation is built against the pattern: a queue with retries, idempotency keys so nothing fires twice, a dead-letter path for anything that keeps failing, and an audit log for everything that did fire.
02Where it runs
- //Payment and installment reminders with escalation cadences
- //Order and fulfillment event processing from platform webhooks
- //Internal notifications that route to the right channel instead of a shared inbox
- //Scheduled data hygiene jobs — exports, checks, reports
03The AI boundary
Where LLM steps earn their place in this pipeline — drafting, classifying, extracting — they run behind guardrails with evals and cost caps. Everything consequential keeps a human review gate.
